Lucky's, The Low Price -- And Bad Produce -- Leader!

Is it just me or is every Lucky's store in the Silicon Valley buying other grocery stores' expired, semi-rotten produce? I get some strawberries there and the next day they're going moldy. Apples and pears are typically bruised and scarred. Forget about bananas; they're either so green they can't be reasonably peeled or they've already got black spots all over them. Tomatoes are overripe. Grapes are rotten. Etc.

And they often run out of various items. RUN OUT OF VARIOUS ITEMS!! Do other grocery stores do this? PW doesn't. Safeway surely doesn't. I have grown to really hate Lucky's. I avoid them like the plague. Are their prices lower? I'm sure they are. Do you get what you pay for? You bet.

Now, if you're looking for a good grocery store, try PW. Clean, well-stocked, and excellent produce. The best grocery store in the valley, IMHO, is the Safeway on El Camino Real in Sunnyvale over by Michael's and auto row. Fantastic! Makes you wish all grocery stores were like that…
