Subject: 1998 Ford Mustang
Todd,
The following is another story to add to your list. My story
is almost exactly like Terri's.
After about 3 years of saving and dreaming of owning a mustang
I finally was able to purchase one in 1998. Like Terri, I have
babied her and loved her she was my black beauty. She has been
stored in the garage when winter hits.
I have noticed that my paint is "pealing" off of my car. I was
told that ford did not put enough flex paint on the rocker
panels, where the paint first started to peal. Then I noticed
it started pealing around other parts of the vehicle in
particular the doors. I wrote and called ford to tell them about
this problem and to see what they were going to do about it.
The factory warranty is expired and they are not going to fix
it. I was told that if I wanted this vehicle fixed that I would
have to get it painted myself.
I am so disgusted with ford and their promise of "quality is
job #1" where this is evident that it is not job #1. Terri
hopefully this will help you.
Anita
