Subject: 1996 4.6L transmission problems
Date: 8/13/2000Aloha Todd, I am writng to you from Maui. I own a 1996 Mustang GT. My first repair on my car was done 2 days afterI Igot my car .I lost the sound system and air conditioning. It started out the day I picked the car up when I aked why there was no air, Matt MACGEE my salesperson replied.. "the air conditioner is fine Ford has come up with a fine system the car will cool of soon". Yeah right the next day when I took the car back for the sound system they told me I had to have the air conditoner replaced also.. And so begins my uphill battle..My car has been in approx 9 times for transmission problems.I am on my second transmission, my third set of keys and no relief in sight. I now own my car with a broken trans piston and a dealer who wants to wash their hands of any responsibility for the car they sold me..Bull .. I vow to park in front of JIM FAULKS VALLEY ISLE MOTORS WITH MY SHINY PURPLE GT ALL POLISHED UP A COUPLE CRATES OF LEMONS AND MY NHTSA SERVICE BULLETINS SO ALL FUTURE FORD CUSTOMERS WILL KNOW HOW OUR ONLY ISLAND FOR DEALER TREATS PROBLEM CARS.. DO YOU THINK THIS WILL SHAKE THEM ENOUGH TO DO SOMETHING.IT SEEMS LIKE ALL RATIONAL BEHAVIOR JUST TAKES TOO LONG TO GET THINGS RESOLVED..
I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED..
Mahalo, Annette
