Here is our story...
We purchased a brand new Ford F-150 4 door 4x4 Lariat addition.
Love the truck... but I was driving my son to one of his friends house
to play and it stalled on me. This was a one time thing and never
happened again. However my Husband was driving it to his office which is
about 10 miles away from the house. He was inside about 5 minutes and
got back into the truck to go out again. He decided to stop at the drive
through store and grab some water, and on the way out he went to apply
the breaks and the peddle went straight to the floor. He was able to
pump them a few times and they gabbed enough for him to stop. However he
still had to get home. So he drove carefully and made it into the
driveway pumping the entire time and praying they would not give out
completely. Once home he called his "Trusty Ford Dealer" and was told he
had road side assistance and given the 800 number to call and have the
truck picked up. He was then told that they would be there to pick up he
tuck with in 50 minutes. Around an hour later he received a phone call
asking if the truck had been picked up already and he informed them that
it had not been picked up. needless to say it was 2 hour + before the
flatbed made it to the house.

So they picked up the truck... Before the day was done he called to
check on the progress of the vehicle and found that it was not checked
in yet and asked to call in the morning. No problem... Around 10 am he
called to check again on the truck and find out what they had found to
be the problem. This was the response... Not only did they not have his
truck yet but no one knew where it was. Yes they picked it up the day
before and lost it somewhere in transit.

SO now they are looking for the truck. It was over 24 hour before they
find it and are completely lost as to what it is their for. "BREAKS"

It is Thursday evening now and it is too late to take a look at it now.
They will take a look at it first thing in the morning. Ok so they have
now had the truck for 2 whole days and nothing had been done.

Friday rolls around and We call and they inform us that they cant find
anything wrong with it. They tell us that the break has plenty of pedal.
Well hello it was not doing so well a few days ago when we had it picked
up, or we would not have called to have it taken to them in the first
place. We suggested that they start checking things out as a process of
elimination. However Ford tells us that it is "FORDS POLICY THAT IF THEY
CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM THEY DO NOT DO ANYTHING". at which point
we respond keep the truck as long as it takes drive it as much as it
takes to get it to duplicate the problem. Because we were not going to
pick it up being unsafe. (This is Day 3) We ask for a loaner car being
this is the third day we did not have a vehicle, we are told they do not
do loaners. Then We were told that Saturday was their light wrenching
day and that meant the breaks would not be looked at again until Monday.
Asked again about the loner car and got shot down again.

Called the dealer back on Monday and asked if the mechanic had driven it
around to try to duplicate the problem. We were told " he did not. We
informed them that if an accident occurred due to the breaks or lack of
that they would be the first ones named in the law suit. If you can
believe it we were again told that it is "Fords policy not to do
anything" at which point we told the service advisor that we were coming
to pick it up and we wanted paperwork stating that we had no Breaks and
that FORD said their was nothing wrong with them.

We have since picked up the truck and driven it with out incident for a
week plus. That is until today...On the way to the office again and
hear noises that sound like they are coming from the tires. Turn off the
radio and turn down the ac to listen more carefully to make sure it is
not something under the hood. Check the dash and gauges to make sure all
is ok. Then pull over to the side of the road to check out the noise,
and do not find anything obviously wrong. Drive the rest of the way to
work, work half the day, and get half way home when... I hear the noises
again. I decide to drive it carefully hoping something would break or do
something on the way home to show FORD. No luck still nothing obvious.
But now we are unable to drive the truck as a reliable vehicle and now
drive it cautiously knowing that it may be the cause in a accident.
Has anyone experienced anything similar to this that can assist us in
pointing Ford in the right direction???
We want to drive in Peace again.

Caren and George
