2003 Ford Focus piece of junk

To whom it may concern,
I purchased a used 2003 Ford Focus with 12,000 miles on it and the extended
warranty (thank goodness). Within 1 month the brakes were squealing louder
than a stuffed pig. I have had my Focus in the shop approximately 5 times
for the brakes and the service idiots kept telling me the brakes wore down
because women drivers are hard on their brakes. Well, my son bought a Ford
Ranger from the same dealership and his brakes have had to be fixed over 11
times. They didn't know how to respond when I told them that my son's
vehicle's brakes were worse and he is a man so he obviously drives like a
man. My son got fed up with all their excuses and took it to a brake shop
and he's never had a problem with the brakes since.
But back to my Focus. I had to put new tires on the vehicle at 35,000
because even though you're supposed to change your tires every 6,000 miles,
that doesn't appear to be the case with the Focus. The tires wear down so
fast that they started to wear at 4,000 into the tire change. I purchased
tires that were rated for 65,000 but had to purchase two new ones at 10,000
because they were completely worn down. Also, at 45,000 miles I brought my
Focus into the shop again for more problems telling the service person that
I thought the transmission was going. Typical serviceman response was to
roll his eyes because I was a woman. Well, at 50,000 miles I went to pull
out of my driveway only to have the car not be able to go in reverse or
forward. They had to rebuild the whole transmission.
Now my automatic locks are now stuck on lock mode and I can't get into my
car. This will be the LAST Ford I will ever buy and I would recommend that
no one purchase any vehicle from the dealership I did either.
Sincerely,
C. L. Gray
