i have had a rescent issue that has cause a major problem with a
1995 ford escort LX. It was my aunts car and she got into an
accident with it due to a techical malfunction in the accelerator.
Luckely it was near her home and didn't kill anyone. But it very
well could have if it happened on the highway. She was pulling
into her driveway at the mobile home park and the accelerator
went nuts and made the car floor it. She steared it away from a
tree but smacked right into a nieghbors mobile home. If the home
was raised about 2 inches more she would have died. I am now
searching around if anyone has had a probem like this before so we
can call up ford. Which wont help because they will try somehow to
pin it to her or say thats the first that has happened.
