First of all, I congradulate you on making a website available for people to
list complaints about their vehicles. My story is short, and not as drastic
as most, but I wonder if others have the same problem.

I first of all am NOT a Ford fan. Yes, they look good. But they carry the
FORD name, which is a major turn off. But I had to sell my 1989 Cheverolet K1500
4X4 because of spontanious fires, break downs, starter failure/fires, 4
wheel drive not working, brakes sticking and light catching on fire, transmission
explosion/fire, and every thing that was connected to the cab leakes water
with the slightest dampness in the air. And guess what...I am a chevy girl.

Anyhow, we went to Sanger Ford in CA, and wanted a TRUCK, I told my Hubby I
will not leave unless I get a truck and a deal. We left with nothing. We were
called in later during the week and they had a "car" for us. So, we went down
to take a look. Yup, a "car" is what they had. A 2004 Chrystler Sebring.
Well, we needed something dependable and reliable so I could get the family
around, so we bought it. Eleven months later we returned to get a TRUCK, I
figured being return coustomers would help. And it did, we walked out with a 2003
F150 Triton Super Crew 2WD, with 18,000 miles

The 1st problem came up when I took it in to get the 1st oil change. It was
covered under the delerships warranty and they tried to charge me for it.
After some arguing, they let me go, with my "free of charge" oil change. Big
woopie? No not really until I read the invoice and inspection sheet. I personally
know that changing oil takes some time. But not a mere 10 minutes. I
realized I hit them just before lunch time. I read the invoice and it stated
oil/filter change. And the vehicle inspection listed windshield inspection, tire
inspection, Windshield wiper inspection, ect ect. All checked good. Hmmmm, I
said to myself as I looked at the pea sized crack in my windshield, which was
dirty. "How can they check the windshield wipers if my window is dirty still?
And how could they miss that crack in the window on the drivers line of
sight?" I pulled into a gas station and checked the air in my tires. 5-15 lbs
lower then they should have been. Me, being raised by my Dad and knowing
vehicles, I crawled underneath the truck and the filter was dirty. I checked the oil,
it was dark. Needless to say, I drove back to the dealership and told them
what had happened and I stood behind the bays and WATCHED the mechanic chage
the oil, and do the total inspection as they show they should do. This was
just lazyness and sloppyness of the mechanics. Lesson, dont go before lunch or
end of the day. You will NOT get the full service expected (even THEN your
lucky)

The 2nd problem arose just yesterday. I had to park my truck outside of its
cover because we were expecting a huge storm and we have a lot of trees and I
was worried that a tree or limb would fall on it. We went to go out to eat
and I saw my dash board was wet, I looked at the windshield and saw water on
the inside of the windshield. And I looked out the door window and cussed under
my breath that a brandnew truck has the same problem as my old truck did.
Then I noticed that window was wet as well. I drove it straight to the
dealership. Obviously this was a Ford defect. They told me I had no warranty to cover
that problem and that I should park it under a shelter to prevent it from
leaking. I asked them "How about driving home in the rain?" I swore if that guy
handed me a paper towel I would knock him out. He just shrugged and walked
away.

As I read threw all of the F series complaints, I found nothing about leaky
windows, But a LOT about the Trinton engines eating sparkplugs. I am concerned
about this. We live in the mountains, and I have horses that we haul around.
I have not hooked up trailer brakes to my truck so we use our old 1985 GMC 1
ton dually to move the horses (no leaky windows!) I am concerned now doing
anything with this truck under a load. But thanks to this website, I know what
to look for, hear and feel. And I'm not just speaking of sparkplugs either!
