Subject: Chris and Amber's 2001 Ranger XLT Supercab

Dear,  Todd

We bought our 2001 Ranger about 7 mounths ago . We have had it in the
shop at Ford where  we bought it 5 times already ..We bought it with
26000 miles on. what a beautiful truck ..YEAH RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!! till
you drive it awhile.......the day I drove it of the lot I heard a
thumping in the front end. get this they sold the truck to us with the
recalled tires on it ...so i took it to the dealer  they told me the
reason why the weren't changed before was cause they didn't have them
in stock......how can you sell a truck knowing it has bad tires on
it ???????????????????  next   I was driving down I-81 and my air bag
light comes on and stays on so I get home that night figure ok I'll
call in the morning....well start the truck the next day no light ....
...2 days later  it does it again....so I call to take it in ...but
can't get a appointment till next week....the service dept. tells me
if the light is on or blinking the only thing that will happen or i
should say won't happen is the air bag won't go off ... thats great
huh..........so they finally take it in,
they test the system they.tell me theres nothing wrong with it ok
fine...on my way home bet you can guess what happened........
yep your right ,blink ,blink.blink,blink so they still can't find out
whats wrong with that.

oh yeah by the way the front end still thumps just the other day
7/18/02 I took it in for the thumping again ,they told me it needs a
alignment and a tire rotation and I have to pay for it even though
the truck has been this way since i bought it .... they also said
there going to update my drive shaft cause it clunks going into gear
and at acceleration.. but you think the would have had the parts to
do that there right  ,NO WAY .we'll have it in 2 weeks .....and one
more thing you would think  since they know that the drive shafts are
messed up they would  notify the people that own rangers nope sorry
again, so if you got one get it changed ....thanks for you time,

p.s never buy a ford again
