FORD TOUGH!!!   How about FORD TOUGH LUCK !!! Bought 2000 F-350 diesel
dually truck used, lease trade in about 4 years ago. ( from a Ford
dealer in Plant City Fl )  Not a scratch & never had a tow hitch
installed...Looked great!  NOTE: I have always bought used & had real
good luck except with the only new car back in 1973.... A
FORD!!!.....Anyway, so I bought this truck.  Looked good & only 28K
mi....but water pump was leaking & cruise control button broke...(my
last Nissan 280 Z  original water pump went out at 242.000 m!!i)  They
fixed these items for purchase. Then water started dripping from the
overhead console. I fixed it.  Got some good use & was happy until
injectors 3 & 7 went out..2 weeks after warranty cost $500-600.  Then my
left electric mirror out function went stopped working, then driver side
mirror- in function quit.  I adjust them by hand for now...Then the
overhead computer went out,  then in,  then out...then in & finally out.
Oh well,  guess that's not a absolute necessity.  A new one is around
$500..  Now by 88K I have had rear axle seals replaced, ($300.) the
transmission is thumping & has not been fully diagnosed yet, cause I am
trying to find someone I trust to rebuild my shaky front end  (ball
joints, tie rods, center-link)  That is going to cost about $1200.  Now
my differential yoke seal is leaking, my anti lock brake light is on  (I
have been ignoring it cause brakes seem to be working fine & fluid
levels in check).  I am worried what will go next...This truck really
keeps me busy & shelling out the $$... I miss my Nissans but they won't
pull my boat...10,000 lbs.....hope this ford thing holds together a bit
longer so maybe I can get everything working at once. Doug
