I have a 2004 explorer that is absolute junk and Ford knows it. The 
factory put the wrong tranny fluid in it and it destroyed the solenoid 
body ($598)  and makes it  hesitate and slam into reverse and will  
eventually kill the tranny ($2980) . So i have $3600 in trans on a truck 
with 40000 miles. also the rear end is going out and the front axle is 
shot.To be fair...my truck has a rebuilt title but it was mostly 
interior damage due to a dropped cigarette from a fenderbender.Nothing 
that would cause the trounle I have had. How do I know this??? My 
brother has a 04 explorer never wrecked with the exact same problems. 
Ford even sent me a letter twice to replace the tranny fluid "free of 
charge". I will never buy another ford again.
