I have a 1987 ford escort GT too.  I bought it for $1800.00
off a private owner this past October.  Since then I have put
over 2,500 dollars in repairs into that piece of shit.  The car
is real fun to drive and it's a damn shame that it has to be
so poorly manufactured, otherwise I'd keep it.  But, I'm only
18 years old, and going to college so I can't exactly afford the
monthly 500 buck repairs on the damn thing.

  After all the mechanical shit was taken care of (or so I thought)
I decided to get a nice system put in it.  Well, that's ruined
now because the underside began to rot, and my speakers and
expensive CD player is now coated in about an inch and a half
of dirt, soot, and chalky road salt. WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT!

  I hate american cars.  I hate ford.  I will NEVER buy american
again as long as I live.  Anyone who reads this and still buys
a ford should be committed.
