Hello,
I used to have a Ford 2004 Expedition and at 3500 miles it started with
a strong weird noise with speed variations, specially when it reached up
to 60 mph, then reduce the speed, a big noise can be heard, which I
considered not right in a brand new truck I took it to the dealership
and they said "this is a malfunction problem with all expeditions, this
is a problem with the rear axle, the carriers and pinions were broken,
they replaced them. And the mysterious loud noise disappeared.
Finally, I didn't want to risk by having another problem, so I got rid of
the damned vehicle and trade it in for another suv from another
manufacturer. Another thing that I noticed id the poor engineering
design not able to install a single sensor in the vehicle to detect when
seat belt is taken off when vehicle stills operating.
Ford needs to improve their engineering.
thanks
