o Farrakhan once called Judaism a "gutter religion" and Adolf Hitler
"a great man." ("The Jews don't like Farrakhan, so they call me
Hitler. Well, that's a good name. Hitler was a very great man."
March 11, 1984) Farrakhan's Nation of Islam has published a book,
"The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews," which purports
to show that Jews were prominent in the slave trade and that 75
percent of slaves were owned by Jews -- views which Farrakhan promotes
   in his speeches.

o In a Saviours' Day speech in February 1996, Minister Farrakhan said,
among other things: "You are wicked deceivers of the American people.
You have sucked their blood. You are not real Jews, those of you that
are not real Jews. You are of the synagogue of Satan, and you have
wrapped your tentacles around the U.S. Government and you are
deceiving and sending this nation to hell. But I warn you in the name
of Allah, you would be wise to leave me alone. But if you choose to
crucify me, know that Allah will crucify you."

o Later, when interviewed on TV, reiterated that Jews were
"bloodsuckers" for setting up profit-making businesses in poor black
communities. He later back-pedalled by suggesting that his ancestors,
white Portuguese, "were members of the Jewish community."

o On September 10th, in Oakland, California one of the world's most
notorious Hitlerite Nazi organizers and propagandists, David Irving,
slipped into Oakland to give a talk entitled, "Freedom of Speech and
Adolph Hitler's Final Solution Finally Solved!" Irving's meeting took
place in cooperation with and under the protection of Farrakhan's
Nation of Islam (NOI) on the basis of their shared program of
   anti-Semitism.

o After Farrakhan announced that the Nation of Islam would one day
overthrow the US government, ("God will destroy America by the
hands of Muslims", February 1996) Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi
promised $1 billion to help spread the Nation of Islam's influence
   in the United States.

o There are an estimated 6 million Muslims in the United States, but
they do not claim Louis Farrakhan or the movement he leads. According
to Ibrahim Hooper of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the
Nation of Islam is considered to be outside mainstream Muslim beliefs
   because of Farrakhan's racist views.

o "Christians preach love but practice hate and tyranny, and use God to
cover up their corrupt and dirty practices."
   --speech, April 20, 1985

o "We want our people in America whose parents or grandparents were
descendants from slaves to be allowed to establish a separate state
or territory of their own--either on this continent or elsewhere. We
believe that intermarriage or race-mixing should be prohibited."
   --from "What the Muslims Want"

o "Does the pope ask his white brothers and sisters to repent of their
evils to our people before asking our people to forgive? What does
this tell you about who he really represents? Does he really represent
Christ, or does he represent that originator and organizer of
organized crime on this earth? Who represents Christ: Pope John Paul
II or the Honorable Louis Farrakhan?"
--"The Final Call", May 4, 1992

o "We know that the Jews are the most organized, rich and powerful
people, not only in America but in the world. They're plotting
against us even as we speak."
   --speech, Jan. 24, 1994

o "Murder and lying comes easy for white people."
   --speech, Feb. 27, 1994
