Subject:  1997 Ford Ranger

I found your site while trying to find out about recalls
and defects. Yesterday our Ford Ranger caught fire! My
husband was on a break at work when he glanced out into
the parking lot at his truck. The lights were flickering
from bright to dim. As he got closer he heard the engine
trying to turn over. Then as he got even closer he heard
that the raidio was on. His keys were in his pocket and
the doors were locked. Then he heard the windshield bust
and saw the flames. It had gutted the entire dashboard on
the left side and melted all of the plastic on his door.
A couple of months ago the overhead light began  coming on
and staying on just as  Stacey said. I hope she will do
something about hers before this happens! I am just very
thankful that there was no one in there when this
happened!!! I still don't know what we're going to do
(I'm not sure what to do- MAYBEE I'll find some answers
somewhere.)
