2002 Ranger throttle sticking

I have a 2002 Ranger with a 2.3 engine.  auto/pb/ps/ac.  40,000 miles. In
the last 2 weeks the throttle has stuck twice. Throttle sounds like it is
stuck wide open.   Have to step on the brake, put it in neutral and  step on
the throttl;e pedal to release it............anyone else having this
