2002 Ford Focus ZX3

Hi there,

	I've been reading your page, and felt I'd share my tale of woe with  
my 02 focus zx3. I bought it in feb of 2004 through the "certified  
pre owned" program at the local Ford dealer from a salesman who had  
sold my family many cars (all of which were trouble free ... but this  
one).

	In the three years I've had my zx3, let's see what I've done. I've  
replaced the brakes twice so far, am on transaxle rebuild #4, am on  
steering rack #4, have replaced bushings a bunch of times, and just  
last night - the battery exploded while my wife and I were driving  
it. It's also been through a few oxygen sensors, has mysteriously  
eaten fuses, and been nothing short of a consistent nightmare.  
Getting 20k on a set of tires is something that involves not paying  
attention to the tires for a while. It's also incapable of holding an  
alignment.

	With the cost of payments plus repairs - it's beer taste at a caviar  
price. For the trouble I've gone through and the money I've spent on  
the  car - it would seem that I have a 30 year old Alfa Romeo Spider.
