Subject: 2004 Expedition lemon
Date: 12/31/2004

I too have suffered at the hands of Ford Motor and it's dealership. On May 29,2004 we
bought a 2004 Expedition and on the day we drove off the lot it made a LOUD rattle
noise from the ac on start up. Upon returning to dealership for repair the answer was
"Can not duplicate problem." In the meantime the remote entry key fob decided not to
work, along with the rattle and key off off we go for repair. Again answer is" no
problem found". After 2 days at home again the noise is back. Went to dealer and left
truck for 5 days only to be called to pick it up " can not duplicate problem". Enough
of that and sent defect notification to ford. Go back for final repair, they wiggle
some lines and tell me to pick it up it is fixed. Guess what it isn't. Back again we
go for more Quality Service and the noise is heard by the service advisor but since
the tech did not hear it " could not duplicate problem" appears again. In the
meantime the remote works on and off, the ac sounds like gunfire, and now there is
water dripping from under the dash and collecting around the doors. Dealer here we
come again. Answer to problems ac no problem found, key fob no problem found, water
from under dash was repaired with a piece of foam to absorb water, and water around
door jambs is NORMAL. Finally having enough we filed Lemon Law papers, also retained
an attorney to work directly with Ford to no avail Ford was not budging. Waiting for
arbitration date to arrive while problems still exist we have an inspection by Ford's
field service rep, no problems found! Now there are water marks inside the rear window,
the key fob works when it wants to, the ac still sounds like gunfire, the dome light
rattles, the headliner is loose, and 2 lights flash on the dashboard. This vehicle is
7 months old and only has 9500 miles!!!! The dealer offers for us to come in and look
at USED vehicles in an effort to resolve this matter. I hope and pray that the state of
Florida can help me through arbitration otherwise I may have to buy a tent and camp
out at Matthews Currie Ford until this is resolved to my satisfaction.

Thanks for letting me vent my Ford frustrations and I will let you know the outcome of
our UNPLEASANT experience with Ford.
