My husband and I had a F350 Diesel built for us in Dec. , and picked it up Jan.25. My husband
had a Toyota prior to this purchase and was a bit weary about buying American. He did though,
and guess what ,nothing but problems. Not two days after buying this , Truck of his dreams and
spending 25,000 on a downpayment ,did the check engine light come on . We were on the
busiest most dangerous highway in the U.S. (I95) fairfield county, (we may live in fairfield county,
but we are not well off), and the truck is lunging forward. We then take it to Ford ,infuriated that
our 2 day new truck needs repair. We allowed them to fix it , (it was an electric speed sensor ).
It was a simple thing to replace and did not involve taking our brand new transmission apart. So
my husband said to himself maybe everything will be fine.. NOT
Approximately 2 weeks later we were parking our truck in our driveway. My husband put his truck
in park and it jumped back about a foot and a half. I asked him," What was that!" he said it
must have been that patch of ice in the driveway. NOT
Three weeks later , my husband put his truck in Park,to get out and move the recycling bin,
at the top of our driveway. As he was getting out of the truck it started to roll. He was unable
to get back into the truck , nevertheless he was knocked down and the truck rolled over his
left leg. Crushing the leg but not breaking it . I guess he is lucky. We don't think so.
This purchase has been a nightmare. Not only did he spend a lot of money, but we have been
making payments on a truck that is basically unusable and unreliable. We will have paid 50,000
dollars on a truck that we can't even take out of town. Very , very upsetting.
It is obserd that these companies are getting away with this. I really wish we had visited this
site before making this purchase.
