My 2004 F-150 that a purchased brand new less then a year ago from Gray
Daniels Ford in Brandon, MS has been a headache since day one. To start
things off I had problems finding a salesman to take my seriously
because I'm young. I was blown off by three salesmen before one would
talk to me. I told them exactly what I wanted which was a black on
black crew cab XLT with the 5.4L with black bumpers like the STX trucks.
I was told they found one that matched that in LA I believe. So I
agreed to have it shipped up here, it ended up being driven here and my
new truck had well over 200 miles on it before I ever saw it.

The interior I was told was black ended up being grey. I was then told
you could only get black on trucks with leather, so I figured I had to
deal with what I could get, but a few weeks later I saw a new F-150 with
black cloth. The bumpers where chrome, not black, but I was assured
they would swap them off an STX so I would at least have the solid black
I ordered. That didn't happen, some manager told me he wouldn't do it,
and made a big deal about me having this truck drove down here and then
not wanting it because it was not solid black. They decided to have
them painted when I refused to take it with chrome bumpers, but charged
me more money on top of the money I had already paid extra to have STX
bumpers swapped on. The piece right above the bumper had a huge dip it
in it as well that had to be fixed. Between painting it and the
bumpers, this delayed me getting my truck for over a week. There was
also a dent in the bed I had fixed as well.

So I finally get my truck, within a week of driving it, it starts
cutting out on me like I was flooring and releasing the gas pedal so I
ask one of the Ford Mechanics and he said the computer was just learning
and not to worry about it. This problem never came back

The rear end was making a whining noise or howl whenever you give it gas
at speeds of around 40 or better. I was told this was normal as well

A couple of months go by and the paint started coming off in sheets off
the bumpers, so they had my truck for over a week again re-painting them
but again the paint did not stick and is coming off horribly AGAIN.

Nine months into driving it, a horrible rubbing noise develops and I
look at the back of the truck and notice something has been digging into
the driver side rear rotor so I assumed it was grabbing because the
truck felt sluggish. I take it to the shop and it turns out the rear
end has all kinds of problems and they replaced a list of things but did
nothing with that break rotor. I was also given a very hard time about
this at the dealership where I was later told by someone I knew back
there that they did not want to cover it under warranty because the
mechanics make less money that way. This person also told me there
where parts to my truck all over the place.

Less then two months later and less then a week ago I was driving and I
heard a loud pop and it was followed by a horrible metal on metal
grinding noise, I was less then 2 miles from my home so I took it there
where it has been parked since.

So in all, I have a new truck that has been painted on three separate
times and needs it again, had the rear end repaired once and needs it
again, has a eaten up break rotor, has a rear end that whines, has the
wrong color interior, and a bed that shakes like crazy when hitting any
sort of bump. All this within a year of purchase!

I also work out of my truck, this is costing me money and I can't rent a
truck because I'm not 25. I'm far from happy with this truck and I will
NEVER buy another thing from Gray Daniels again. I'm Ford fan and will
always drive one, but never from that dealership.
