Subject:  ford sucks

My 2001 has to recalls. One seat belt the other "intermittent 
engine quit and restart condition due to calibration" I just 
got the later recall a few weeks ago. Well, I went to go to 
work the other night and my car will only run while I  press 
on the gas petal. As soon as I take my foot of the pedal it 
stalls. I had it towed to ford this AM. they told me (after 
$88 dollars for a diagnostics) that my idle air control valve 
needs to be replaced. cost.....just under $500. I'm pissed 
because i would have never had taken it to them for a repair 
and only did because it sounded like the recall issue. anyway, 
i told them to do the recall issues. i will go pay my $88 
dollars and I'm having it towed to precision auto. they told me 
the repair would be $180.!!! can you believe ford wanted to 
charge me $300 more!!!! not to mention. Precision (w/ coupon) 
does diagnostics for about $39. I just can't believe food over 
charges so much. I'm a single Mom and home without my car. i 
can't af"ford" to be ripped off by ford............
