Subject: 2002 Ford Taurus
Date: 4/25/2005

In July 2004 Ford recalled 899,060 Taurus and Sable Vehicles
– 1999-2001. The recall is with respect to weak front springs
that can break and puncture the front tires

I have a 2002 Taurus and have the identical problem. Yet Ford
says that there is no recall on mine.

How is it possible for an iron spring to break and lodge itself
in the front tire suddenly. Surely Ford did not change its
specifications between 2001-2002.

Ford is trying to minimize its damage and I can not believe they
would think consumers are this gullible or perhaps powerless. No
wonder they’re doing badly.
