Subject:        Ranger dies

Angel,

I have a 1990 ford Ranger and 3 out of 12 times I have taken it to the mountains at high speeds
and high altitude it has just stopped running.  The problem goes away on its own and shows up
again sometimes an entire year later.  I have replaced the distributor, electronic ignition, inertia switch,
etc.  The last incident was in June of 2001, I towed it home since it wouldn't run. Then had it towed to
a garage who could not find anything wrong with it, yes it just magically fixed itself during the tow.
