Though you probably get these types of e-mails often it would be foolish of
me to trust Ford to explain the problem truthfully. I have a 97 Ford escort,
2.0 Automatic overdrive . The car has 86,000 miles and my wife just called
and said it won't go! Simple terminology for the transmission is slipping. I
have seen two other complaints about transmission issues, so far searching
the net, on 97 escorts between 75,000 and 80,000 miles. Is there a recall
for such or a frequent crying out over this type of breakage? Any help will
be more than I have now! Oh, by the way, for those illiterates shade tree
geniuses let them know that most e-mails programs have spell check! lol May
end some interpretation frustrations! Also, keep in mind, it is said that
any two people with an I.Q. difference of 30 points or more will suffer
greatly in communicating!
