Subject: 1997 Crown Victoria

Hi,
I recently had two of the steel brake lines develop a leak on
my 1997 Crown Victoria with 119,000. The dealer told me to
replace the lines would involve taking the body off. They spliced
it and as you can see by the pictures they did a rotten job. One
of the lines is riding right on the head of a bolt. What a repair
and it cost me $500. I have never heard of steel brake lines going
out like this and it concerns me as I drive a lot of curvy mountain
roads. I wonder if any others have had their steel lines fail?

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Sincerely,
Mike H.
