I'm writing because I'm aggravated at ford's service about
recalls on a 1992 Tempo of mine. Recently, a fault in the
ignition switch caused a fire that, if I didn't act quickly
enough, wouldn't be alive today. When i went to my insurance
company and told them about my problem, they noticed the
recall and lowered the amount of money I will receive;
because Ford supposedly was sending mail to me that I just
never opened. <-- end sarcasm. So even though Ford has never
sent me any mail, and because I lived through a life-
threatening accident, I'll only get about 1/2 the amount my
car is worth. This is fucking bullshit. When I called up
Ford, they "terminated the call" because they claim they
notified me of recalls. I "can't call them" and they "won't
talk to me". Needless to say, I am a bit disgruntled over
this whole ordeal, but am left wiht no choice than to take
the money offered, thus, I am car-less for months. I'm not
very surprised that Ford doesn't care, but the termination
of the call, and the blatant lie about sending recall
notices really annoy me...
