Subject:  Accelerator of Ford F-150

My husband recently had the experience of driving a 2004 Ford F-150.  
He was driving this vehicle because his Duramax was receiving a 
warranty repair on the computer component.  He was coming home from 
work and had stopped at a light.

He had come to a complete stop with a car in front of him and one 
behind him.  Everyone was stopped, he took his foot of the brake 
(after being completely stopped) and he said his accelerator engaged 
like he had floored it.  Resulting in hitting the vehicle in front 
of him.  My husband and the driver of the car in front of him both 
thought the third vehicle had hit my husband causing him to hit the 
first car.  Both my husband and driver of car number 1 told the 
officer that they were both stopped.  Car number 1 stated that she 
knew my husband was stopped because observed him being completely 
stopped.  The officer said that he had heard of others who have had 
similar problems.  If you or any one has heard of this problem
