What a BABY! What a whining little jerk! Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield TWICE during his bid for the championship heavyweight boxing title Saturday night, June 28th. The edge of Evander's ear was torn off and spit out onto the canvas of the ring by a Mike Tyson who apparently felt he was not being fairly treated when Evander head-butted him in the eye, splitting his eyebrow. Mikey felt that the ref was ignoring his entreaties and decided that he would exact his own street-style, grade school form of retribution by biting Evander while in the clinch. He spit out his mouth piece and took a chunk out of Evander's ear. What a man, huh? Then, after getting away with it with only two points taken away, he does it again! He obviously wanted to end a fight he knew he couldn't win.
Boxing is necessarily a violent sport, but there are rules. Mike Tyson whined about how Evander was taking food from the mouths' of Mike's children. Come on folks, the man made $30 million for LOSING! It's not about money, it's about Mike feeling put upon. It's about a grown man who has learned that he can in fact pummel people to the ground and get paid for it, and as long as he's the best at it, it doesn't matter how he acts or what he does. His short stint in prison for raping a woman in his hotel room taught him that even when he is punished, it's little more than a slap on the wrist.
I can't believe there is any discussion on this at all: Mike Tyson should be banned from the sport of boxing. Forever. Then he can fire that loud-mouth moron that serves as his assistant manager and invest his millions in feeding his poor hungry children. And boxing can divest itself of the kind of trash that Mike Tyson represents.
