I was reading Lory's story about the accelerator sticking. The same
thing happened to me my husband and 21 month old son sleeping in his car
seat. We were on the New Jersey Parkway, and the accelerator stuck, my
husband applied the brakes 3 times, but each time he let off the break
the car just sped up until finally he lost control of the car and we had
a spin-out, the car spun abou 2 time, hitting about 70 MPH. When we
finally stopped facing the opposite direction, stuck in the grass, there
was the car that we nearly hit who was smart enough to realize to pull
over and stay there.

I called Ford, told them the problem, they said to take it to a dealer,
I did, they also said the throddle was fine. So I guess we just
imagined the whole thing. I am very dissapointed that Ford does not
offer better customer service and when I called again for the 2nd time
to complain, the person from Ford was downright roude.
