Hi, I recently leased a ford ranger from ford dealer on 5-12 , I had the car for about a week when it stopped running. This happened in the middle of the highway. I towed it in to the dealer. The car was returned to me the next day after not being able to locate the problem, then it happened again, this time going into I-75.
They had the car for about ten days when it was finally returned to me, they told me it worked fine now. I drove the car home that night (about half a Mile) when I noticed that the car did not stall but ran sluggish and bogged down, U called and they told me to drive it the next day it could be just cold. To make the story short I was nearly broadsided by an eighteen wheeler. My boss sent me home and told me not to come to work until I had a safe vehicle. (I'm a salesperson and rely on a dependable car the entire day) Up until today, they still have my car and are dropping in a new engine. They've had the car for about 24 days since and are telling me I cannot get out of the lease. I feel unsafe in that car and do not want antything to do with it. The GM "general manager" told me it would not be to my benefit to file for the lemon law and that I would not have a chance against a big company like world FORD..
The moral of the story is, Ford doesn't care for their customers.
