My daughter drives an F-150 extended cab step side. She was rearended a
couple of months ago and the air bag did not deploy. We figured it was
because she was hit from behind. Then, last week, during a bad rain storm
(the aftermath of Charlie) she was driving at approximately 10 miles an hour
when suddenly a car 3 cars in front of her stopped to turn left across
traffic. 2 other cars in front of her stopped. She had a good 10 to 15
feet to stop, she hit her brakes and cut her wheel and skidded hitting the
truck in front of her on her driverside front fender - the airbag did not
deploy and her head bounced off the steering wheel. She then went onto a
skid on the wet grass on the side of the road and spun out, hitting the 2
other vehicles, again with the front of her truck - which is totaled - and
again, no air bag. Luckily she ended up with only a mild concussion from
slamming her head twice into the steering wheel. My question is, what's up
with the airbag? The front of the truck is destroyed from 3 good solid
hits, and no airbag. Has anyone else had his problem?
