My 2002 Ford Escape caught fire while parked in the garage. My husband =
and I were in the house doing some chores when I smelled rubber burning. =
I opened the garage door to see a wall of black smoke. Anyway, my car is =
gone. Fortunately the garage was fire proof. It all has to be torn out =
and redone. Everything in garage was melted. The house was full of smoke =
so every item had to be cleaned. Walls, forks knives food stuff thrown =
out. The computers, t.vs , curtains& clothes  had to be sent out to get =
cleaned. This was not our fault. We don't know for sure yet but we are =
assuming it has to do with the cruise control switch. I wish that I had =
not bought a Ford! Sue
