Subject: 2004 Expedition Lemon
Date: 12/19/2005

We leased a new 2004 Expedition August 8,2004. On May 6th the
transmission failed. Ford took 17 days to replace the transmission
with a new one. The truck had only 9,600 miles at the time. It
was not shifting correctly a month later, but after towing it in
they said it was fine because the computer said so. We told them
we would call when the transmission fails again. On December 15th
of 2005 the second transmission failed with only 16,900 miles on
the car. I am now waiting for another new transmission ( which I
expect to fail as well). I have written my lemon letter as NJ
allows after 20 days out of service. This is the third expedition
we have owned, but Ford does not care about losing us as customers.
If they do not let us out of this lease I will continue to tell 40
or 50 people a day about the treatment we have received. I am
currently paying for a rental car in addition to paying a $450
lease payment for a car that is in the shop again
