well i own a 1993 Ford Escort Wagon LX. now, this isn't the car that's the problem,
but it is Ford's bad service and mechanics that's the problem.

well, I bought it used in 1995, I'm not sure where I bought it from. well it was a good r
eliable car (please be advised that it was my Family's only car at the time) and I
heard a strange noise, like a squeak. I took it to Bob Thibetau( I think that's how
you spell it) Ford. I waited an hour and they said that they had fixed it and it was
just a belt. Well, I take it and on the way home I heard the same sound again. The
next day I took it back. They replaced another expensive part and I wasted another
day at Bob Thibeatu Ford. They said that it was fixed again, so I took it home and it
ran perferctly. the next day I heard the noise again, so again, I had to waste another
day at Bob Thebatu Ford. they again replaced another expensive part and it took all
day, (well I am car fanatic so, I browsed the showroom) and when I got it again
"Fixed" I heard the sound AGAIN. so I left Bob Thibeatu ford and got it repaired at
another place (non Ford) and the sound was gone. I knew right then and there that
I cannot trust Bob Thibeatu Ford. so I took it to another Ford dealorship called
Al Long Ford in Detroit the next time I had a problem. (1997,by then I had a second
car, a 1980 something Ford Taurus, first generation)well they fixed it right, and I thought
that I can trust Al Long Ford. well later (1998, that year I bought a brand new Dodge
Caravan with the Convience package in early 1998 and Sold off the 1980 something
Ford Taurus in mid 1998 to a fellow workmate, because I didn't need it because I had
the minivan) well I had a problem with the Escort so I took it into Al Long ford I had to
get a rental because the repair had to take 2 to 3 days. well, I got it repaired and it
was good again, well all I took it in from there was for minor repairs and scheduled
repairs, but in 2002, Desaster struck! I wrecked it on black ice. I took it into a body
shop reccomended by a friend (I left al along because they started to be like a
second Bob Thibeatu. And then I was devestated when I got it back. none of the
parts fit. All of them looked like they were made for a 94 or 95. not a 93. and when
I wrecked it the air intake was bashed, insread of replacing iot, they just cheaply
taped it up with Duct Tape. now the car vibrated when I stopped it. so I took the
badly repaired Escort and took it to a non ford shop and they repaired it right. Now
after 2 failed attempts at repairing the car at a Ford Dealorship i decided to repair it
myself from now on. now since I am repairing it myself, I feel that I should of don'e
this a longtime ago, not take it to a Ford Mechanic. well, now the Escort has
120,000 miles and is running like new now that i'm keeping it far away from the Ford
Mechanics.

well, I guess that the moral of this story is that, well, NEVER take your ford to a ford
mechanic, it is not worth all the hassle.
