Hi my name is William Lamb. I'm writing in hopes of warning others as 
well as helping my case out regarding My 2001 Mustang Bullitt and 
Sanders Ford of Jacksonville, NC. I recently took my car to Sanders Ford 
under warranty to have my transmission looked at. I was told the 
transmission needed to be replaced. I was not worried because the car 
only had 36,000 miles on it and i had the original 36,000 mile warranty 
as well as the Ford ESP extended premium warranty up to 75,000 miles. I 
was told warranty would cover it and they issued me a rental car. After 
tearing down my transmission they then told me they would not warranty 
it because of low fluid level in the transmission. I asked myself how 
could this be when the car has had its regular oil changes and 
maintenance had been done by my home Dealership Barkhouser Ford. That is 
where i bought the car. I am very pleased with Barkhouser but extremely 
upset with Sanders Ford. After calling my dealership back home talking 
with the mechanic Mike Myers about servicing my car and was assured 
there was adequate fluid in my transmission. So once again i call 
Sanders to explain this to them. I was then told by Marrian the service 
advisor that Ford ESP never sent anyone to look at my car they just done 
everything verbally over the telephone. I asked were there any leaks in 
the transmission to where the fluids could have gotten out they assured 
me, no. So how can they not warranty my vehicle I have records stating 
my maintenance and there were no leaks so somethign had to been 
defective. Now I am stuck with being told I owe $3,100 for a new 
transmission and labor + the charges for the rental car. It seems as if 
Ford wants to sell there warranty but doesnt want to take care of their 
customers and actually put it in to effect to fix one of their vehicles 
and keep customers happy. Well I am not happy and to be honest am about 
fed up with Ford. This is extremely discouraging and if it isn't 
resolved I will likely to never own a Ford again as well as steer 
everyone i can away from Sanders Ford of Jacksonville, NC. If anyone can 
help I would greatly appreciate it  Thank You!
